My name is Michael Rothuizen.

I spent 15 years in music — production, songwriting, building things out of nothing. No safety net. Just an idea and the work required to make it real.

Then I moved into a different world.

Investing. Structuring deals. Advising founders. Board positions across fintech, legal, consultancy, and venture building. I've been inside companies at the idea stage and at the traction stage. I've seen raises close and I've seen them fall apart. I've had exits. I've watched ventures that should have worked fail for entirely preventable reasons.

What I kept noticing across all of it was the same gap showing up in different forms.

At the early stage — people with genuine insight and no path to building. At the growth stage — companies with real traction that couldn't get structured properly, couldn't get capital moving, couldn't get to the next level despite having everything they needed to get there.

Both problems have the same root cause. Not enough of the right people truly in it with them.

I've always been a connector. Not in the networking sense — in the building sense. The belief that what you can do alone and what I can do alone is limited. But when the right people, the right structure, and the right timing come together — something else happens entirely.
